What is meant by “natural light photographer”?
It just means that I prefer to shoot your photos in natural light, and don’t use a lot of flash (artificial lighting).
How do I secure my booking?
Easy! Once we have agreed a tentative date, I’ll send you an invoice. As soon as you have paid the deposit, the booking is secured.
What can I expect on the day of the shoot?
A lot of fun! Seriously. I know that most people are nervous on the day of the shoot, since you’re not used to having a camera shoved in your face. I’m here to tell you not to worry; the awkwardness will wear off. We’ll start off with a few walking shots – Walk away from the camera holding hands, walk towards the camera while looking at each other. Tell each other a joke, or how nervous you feel. This does 2 things: It gets you out of your head, because you are doing something other than just looking at a camera and it gets you to laugh and loosen up. From there, we will move into some poses. As we work through the poses and some tasks (e.g push her on the swing, play ring a rosy, give Mommy a bit, fat, kiss) your confidence will grow and your nerves will fade into the background. You will realise that you are making memories by playing with your kids, grabbing your husbands butt, or sharing a moment with your mom. You will start to have fun and forget about the camera (for the most part). By the end of the session, you will be telling me what poses you want to try π and believe me when I tell you: Those will be some of the best photos of the day!
