Paint & Decor – Annie Sloan Workshop

Paint & Decor, Durbanville Village Square, Durbanville

Those of you who know me from my guise as blogger “Sawdust and High Heels” know that I love to paint furniture. Nothing in my house is safe. To be honest, nothing in yours is probably safe from my paint brush either 🀣

Anyway, I digress. I had such a blast photographing the Paint & Decor “The Inventor” Annie Sloan workshop, because not only did I get to indulge in my photographic passion, but I also got to learn a whole host of new tips and tricks!

All in all, it was a fabulous, informative, fun day!

Jani is extremely knowledgeable and has such a passion for colour. She really lives the Paint & Decor slogan of “Live in the Colours you Love”

Choosing the colour palette – when last did you do some finger painting?!

On to the next step – the prep. I’m not going to lie, this is the worst part for me – I just want to get stuck in! (And yes, sometimes you do have to prep surfaces before using chalk paint – it depends on what the finish that you want to paint over – see, I learned something!)
